MEET OUR FOUNDING PASTORS
ND and Sophal Strupler met at the age of 17 in Switzerland. It wasn’t until they were in their thirties that they decided to visit Cambodia for the first time. From their first visit in 2012 the family fell in love with the country and its people.
In 2013, the Strupler family decided to sell their home and move from Switzerland to Cambodia to begin a new life. They launched ICF Siem Reap, a Non-Denominational Christian Church the following year to meet the spiritual needs of the community.
ND recalls “Everything started when I got to know a girl named Sophal. She was born in Phnom Penh before the war and was abandoned as a three-month-old baby and rescued by a Red Cross nurse from Switzerland who brought her into the hospital where she cared for the baby but nobody came to collect her.”
Faced with the prospect of leaving the baby in war-ravaged Cambodia, the nurse decided to bring her to Switzerland for adoption. OUR LEAD PASTORS – ICF SIEM REAP
We moved to Cambodia with a passion in our hearts to be apart of a church transforming the community, with the the power of the gospel, to reach its God given potential.
Eddie Roach joined ICF Cambodia Church in 2016 as Next Steps Teacher. During this time God lead him to Pastor ICF Siem Reap Church in 2018. Eddie’s focus is to build a healthy international church, in Siem Reap, that has a passion to be more like Jesus and see a real change in the world. “If you make a mistake, follow Jesus so much the world only knows Him.”
Bethany Roach began ministry in Cambodia in 2005. She has spent her entire adult life with a singular passion to build God’s Kingdom in Cambodia. In 2016 Bethany began leading outreach in the villages with ICF Cambodia and since then has seen many miracles and the transformation of families from young and old. “The greatest injustice is to live an entire life and never have known the great love of Jesus Christ.”
